Bivy sacks are made of a waterproof fabric and are designed to accommodate a sleeping bag and pad. This form of tent is very light and compact and they are particularly popular with climbers and mountaineers. Should be left alone in the wild?

I been watching Channel 4’s Alone in the Wild which finished on Thursday night and I am still thinking about it 4 days later, but not in a good way.
If you happened on this awful piece of television you may have thought that you were watching Eastenders which has in nearly every scene somebody crying, well this was no different.¬† The documentary is based on Ed Wardle who has a “lifetime ambition” to be left alone in the Yukon for 3 months and live off his wits.

Can you imagine six unfit rather rotund ex-rugby players cycling 200 miles of the most gruelling, hilliest and beautiful roads in Scotland in so doing visiting  Jura, Islay, Arran, Great Cumbrae and Bute in 4 days, neither could we until now.
